Promethium Relay Pipes: Showcase

The Promethium Relay Pipes are finished.  I'm going to do a couple more of these kits.  I've used these in a game already, and they really add a great feeling to the table.  I'm pretty pleased with how these turned out, though some of the weathering is a bit heavy handed.

The Sons of Bragg

The Sons of Bragg are highly detailed models with some great poses.  I chose to use the box art for their colors, minus the skin, of course.  I'm really happy with how the flames turned out on the one chap, and the kilts look nice, too.

The Week in Hobby: May 8-14

I have lots of irons in the fire.  This week, I finished some Trollbloods, my Promethium Relay Pipes, and a Munitorum Container.  I also started some Eldar Windriders.

Terrain on Tuesday: Promethium Relay Pipes 1

The Promethium Relay Pipes are on the table this week.  Surprisingly, this is a really fun kit to work on.  I go through the process of getting the base coats done.  I'm sure I'll end up with several of these kits as they go together quite easy and paint up really quick.

The Gunslingin' Outlaw Troll

Braylen Wanderheart...one of my favorite sculpts from any company.  I love this model.  The pose is outstanding.  The billowing road coat is so dynamic.  I just love this model.  It was so fun to paint.

Trollbloods Night Troll

The Trollbloods Night Troll is a model I have been looking forward to working on for quite a while.  I had a concept in my head, but I needed some practice with a new paint type first.  For this guy, I used the Badger Minitaire Ghost Tint Plasma Fluid.  Plasma Fluid is a bright electric blue, and it was the perfect color for this mini.  I did a very detailed zenithal highlight followed by several layers of Plasma Fluid with the airbrush.  I love these paints, and I can't wait to use them more for the beasts.

Witchfate Tor: Painting Progress 2

More progress on the Witchfate Tor.  The outside details are done, and I'm moving on to the fourth floor.  Stay tuned for more updates next week.

Witchfate Tor: Painting Progress 1

Progress on the tower has commenced.  My favorite thing about painting scenery is that I can do it away from the work table.  After hunkering over Trollbloods and Khorne, it is nice to sit in the recliner and drybrush stone.  Enjoy!

Blackrock Chieftains for Blood Bowl

Here is a Blood Bowl team I worked on for a while for a local player.  I worked on these on and off for a couple of months.  I like how the chipping turned on, and I finally got my experiments with varnish taken care off.  Vallejo Gloss Varnish followed by Liquitex Matte Varnish works a treat with the airbrush.

Age of the Hammer: Ep 15: Stormcast Eternals Review

In Episode 15, Mike, Randy, and I discuss a little hobby and A LOT of Stormcast.  This podcast kind of drug on way to long, but hey, it's nice and long so you can get some painting done while listening.  Enjoy.

And PS, I may be starting a Stormcast army because of this book and the color scheme I have in my head!

Age of the Hammer: Episode 12: Disciples of Tzeentch Review, part 1

 Age of the Hammer Podcast
Age of the Hammer Podcast

In this episode of Age of the Hammer, Michael, Randy, and I review the new Disciples of Tzeentch Battletome.  We cover some fluff and lore, as well as the warscrolls, battalions, spells, and artefacts for the Tzeentch deamons.

I haveto say that this book is amazing.  If you play Chaos, you may want to consider letting the Change God have some space in your lists.  This book has some absolutely amazing rules and tactics, not to mention beautiful artwork.  Enjoy!
